Peasens and Moddergat
Sunday, 29 November 2009 00:00
It was just another November day. The weatherforecast was rain and perhaps at the end of the day some sun in the south. Paesens and Moddergat are not particularly in th south of the Netherlands, but the sun arrived just in time, with a beautiful sky as a result. A beautiful scenery with the windmill De Hond in Paesen. After that we visited Moddergat with, at the dike, the monument in remembrance of the fishermen who died in a disaster in the night from the 5th to the 6th March 1883, when the fischingboat was wrecked in a heavy storm. Take a look in the image-library at the landscapes for an impression of this evening.
